Who we are?
Norinchukin Bank Europe (NBE) opened its office in Amsterdam in 2019 and is a subsidiary one of Japan’s largest and oldest financial institutions. Norinchukin Bank was founded in 1923 and is a cooperative bank with its roots in agriculture, fishery and forestry.
We collaborate with 100 employees in our Amsterdam office and are actively expanding our business in Europe, with a high focus on sustainability. Your responsibilities and challenges
We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our HR team that consists of two HR Officers, two Business Partners and a Head of HR. Together, we support our team members to be able to achieve their potential and to maintain our positive and unique working culture.
In this role you will:
Be operationally and tactically responsible for all HR matters within your business lines.
Together with your colleague HRBP, be responsible for the recruitment and selection of new employees during this scale-up phase.
Stay up to date with and maintain HR laws and regulations for the organization. You will be required to translate this into the development and professionalization of our current HR policies and processes.
Along with the HR Officers, be responsible for checking our payroll administration.
Co-creating and monitoring HR reporting, HR dashboards, and audits, and developing HR analyses.
Support with the facilitation of the performance appraisal cycle, maintenance of our compensation and rewards framework and the roll- out of our yearly engagement survey.
Drive and support initiatives and HR projects to further grow and develop our HR team and the organisation as a whole.
Develop and initiate training facilities and/or organise trainings.
Further develop a collaborative, respectful, and transparent working culture.
Our Japanese expat managers rotate every three to four years. Intercultural exchange is very common and encouraged. This means that as an HRBP, you will primarily be involved in coaching them on the Dutch approach to leadership. Adding value to the growth of NBE and the above mentioned activities is something you look forward to.

Are you interested?
We are looking a candidate with an obtained a Bachelor or Master degree and have at least 7 – 10 years’ experience in an international and/or financial institution. You are eager to cooperate with colleagues from different cultures. Besides that, you are a team player, you have great communication skills, are sensitive, have eye for detail and work in a process oriented manner. You enjoy working with HR data (in Excel) or you are interested in developing yourself in that area.
