About Norinchukin Bank Europe (NBE)
Norinchukin Bank Europe N.V. (NBE) is the European subsidiary of The Norinchukin Bank, one of Japan’s largest and most respected financial institutions. Since 2019, NBE has been building a European wholesale banking franchise across project finance, syndicated lending and money markets, with a strong focus on food, agriculture and infrastructure. Our values—Openness, Sensitivity, Engagement and Cooperation—guide how we work and grow sustainably in Europe.
Why this role?
We are establishing a Data Validation team within the CFO domain. This team independently safeguards data quality across the full loan life cycle and strengthens reliable financial and regulatory reporting for the Structured Finance Division. The role is perfect for experienced Loan Administration Officers or Data Validation/Data Quality Officers who want to step up into an independent data assurance function.
Context: The first line (Transaction Support/Loan Administration) remains accountable for primary data capture and processing. The second line sets the standards, performs independent validation and continuous monitoring, and provides a clear, constructive challenge to the first line under sound governance. At the moment the focus will be directed towards the Structured Finance Division, but it is envisaged that other front-office activities will come into scope at a later stage.
We offer a collaborative environment where your work contributes to a greater purpose: securing the future of food, communities, and the planet. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference while growing your career in banking, NBE is the place for you.
The role at a glance

You will define validation rules, run independent samples and reconciliations, manage issues and remediation, and report trends and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to Finance, Risk and Management. You will be a part of Transaction Support Team in the first line to learn the loan administration process in NBE, and then be independent to the Data Validation Team in the second line with couple of colleagues.
What you will do
Independent validation – Perform periodic and event‑driven validations of transactional and static data against source documents (credit approvals, facility agreements, notices) and source systems.
Reconciliations – Reconcile key fields with the GL/financial ledger, front office and mid-office systems datasets; document and explain variances.
Issue & remediation management – Log, prioritise and drive resolution of data‑quality issues; agree remediation plans with the first line and track to closure.
Training & awareness – Promote data‑quality awareness in the first line; share best practices, checklists and quick‑reference guides.
Collaboration – Work closely with Transaction Support , Finance/Regulatory Reporting, Risk, IT/Data Management and Front Office.
Framework & standards – Establish and maintain the data‑validation framework (policy, standards, control objectives, sampling methods, materiality
Change & projects – Provide support in system/process changes (new loan modules, data migrations, regulatory change); review requirements and perform independent testing/control assessments.
